I am an academic who admits that she actually rather likes Zoom. I’ve now been using it for meetings for a few months, and for teaching for rather less time. I’m fortunate to work at a large public research university where we are teaching virtually during these pandemic times.

I started collecting possible Zoom backgrounds for fun; unsure whether this would be relaxing escapist silliness, or turn creative, or become a new leisure activity, or “just” be work. So far, it’s steadfastly remained all four.
